Pusan National University School of Medicine | Small Animal Ultrasound System Installed

Pusan National University (PNU), founded in 1946 as South Korea’s first national comprehensive university, is a renowned national institution. Engineered for scientific research, the portable ultrasound system has earned wide acclaim from researchers worldwide for its exceptional performance and intuitive operation.

On January 10, the PNU School of Medicine successfully completed the installation and specialized training for the small animal ultrasound imaging system. On-site engineers handled installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing to ensure seamless, reliable operation. The training sessions covered equipment operation, transducer handling, parameter optimization, image acquisition, and data management, alongside animal experimentation protocols and routine maintenance. With faculty and students mastering these core competencies, the system establishes a high-precision imaging platform to advance preclinical research in cardiovascular diseases, oncology, and beyond.
