Abstract
Myocardial hypertrophy and heart failure represent critical frontiers in cardiovascular research. In these domains, the stability of disease models and the standardization of functional assessments directly dictate the reproducibility, credibility, and translational efficiency of scientific findings. Transverse aortic constriction (TAC), optical mapping, echocardiography, and calcium imaging constitute four core technologies that span the entire assessment pipeline—from in vivo animals and ex vivo hearts to myocardial tissues and isolated cardiomyocytes:
※TAC establishes robust pathological animal models of heart failure;
※Optical mapping enables simultaneous recording of myocardial electrical conduction and calcium transient dynamics;
※Echocardiography delivers non-invasive, longitudinal quantification of cardiac morphology and hemodynamics;
※Calcium imaging directly visualizes the kinetics of excitation-contraction (E-C) coupling.
Collectively, these four modalities offer indispensable value in mechanistic dissection, pharmacological efficacy screening, and translational cardiovascular research.

Leveraging its established technology platforms and methodological expertise, the S-Gao Research Institute will host a dedicated Open Day event in Kaifeng, Henan, from July 16 to 17, 2026. Centered on the theme of "Myocardial Hypertrophy and Heart Failure," this event combines comprehensive theoretical lectures with hands-on practical demonstrations, systematically unveiling a full-chain evaluation framework from whole animals to single cells. We cordially invite researchers, clinicians, and industry peers to join us.
